Hey Lollies,

Lets talk America's healthy living! The FDA's purpose is to ensure safety in our food supply, cosmetics, medical devices etc. Yet they are also allowing certain foods, meat factories, and agriculture practices to include harmful substances. I tend to not follow the crowd on what's good for us according to the FDA, especially as a Minority, ( a whole other topic in itself). The FDA came to be after the Pure Food & Drug Act 1906. There was no pre-market approval system for food ingredients, or drugs prior to 1906. The government also could not take action until AFTER products where on the market. On the same day this was made law (1906), the meat inspection act was also passed. ( If you want to read a great book about this read The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair, this book must be good because it was banned in several states. It's about unhygienic stockyards, and immigrant living condition in 1906 Chicago, and exposed health violations and unsanitary conditions. An outrage from other communities and states led to the government stepping in to change its practices. ( The same old nothing changes in a poor population areas until others are made aware, and care.). I wish it wasn't always a hidden health agenda when it comes to our food/dietary needs. I know money needs to be made, and people need to eat but in all honesty why not just encourage a society to get back to farming and harvesting as well. Where everyone has access to better food choices, and everyone is made aware of how much diet impact the human body.

Today I watched on Netflix, a documentary about eating more plant based called The Game Changer. I was led to watch it bc my Aunt had posted about viewing it and thinking about "drinking the Kool-Aid" to join team vegan. I have tried vegan meats before and I swear by Soy'richo ( mostly bc it taste like chorizo but without the gall bladder attack my body likes to bless me with from time to time.) The taste is never my reason to avoid going vegan. I just like most of you, have been taught meat is a healthy part of our diet. As I watch this and drool over the ever so attractive Conor McGregor, ( side note: I'm not a person who dates outside my race... But the 4% Irish running thru my veins does this thang to my body whenever a Irish man ( or woman for that fact) is shown! Like total arousal from my souls core!! AH! Yummy eye candy!). Once I wiped the drool, I realized that eating meat obviously wasn't super healthy for our bodies like what we were lead to believe as a children.

If your reading this on my fb and not the blog, ( I know its kinda a task to create a Wix account in order to read my post fully) then you cant see the pic I added, and will have to check him out on google...thank me later! Anyways, this movie was a eye opener for speed and endurance the human body can get while being solely on a plant based diet. What we eat really does make a difference for our actual energy. It also featured an all vegan body builder, Mischa Janiec ( more eye candy Lollies!), He is all vegan and is ripped!! He has stamina like a muthafucka!!

The movie talks about how when we eat plant based the benefit is seen in the whole body! It even affects the body's blood flow. It showed a few athletes who were tested for the flow of blood to their penis during sleep erection, after consuming a meat dinner. The consecutive night the dinner meal was plant-based and then, they compared results. The results, which were kinda amazing! The blood flow to the penis, causes natural erections during a guys sleep cycle, ( apparently men have erections all thru the night, and "morning wood" not because of anything their partners did. Its just plan 'ol anatomy doing what it does. Don't be tricked to giving head before starting your day, or do...but work ya jaw just a lil' then straddel&hump to get yours too! (wink wink) Im all about equal opportunity in all areas lol) On the nights where the men ate meat meals, the erection and blood flow to the penis, was less than that of the nights the men ate plant based. Bottom line - Feed your man some plant based food ladies ( Also watch this on Netflix bc the results and the men's reactions were GREAT! Plus I am not explaining it as well as the Doctor).

Another interesting fact is that our bodies actually do not require meat at all, the reasoning behind us getting protein from meats, is simply from the grass/veggies, the animals eat that are digest into them. We eat the meat and in turn our bodies digest all that's in the meats in other words the grass/veggies. In the time of the great gladiators in Rome, researchers found that they actually did not eat meats, they lived off veggies, and wheat/barley. I think its just so crazy how much we have been conditioned to believe that we need meat to survive. I know I use to be so biased about vegan eaters, and was judgmental about how they raised their children as well. All that judgement and not listening, for the sake of what I was brought up to believe. We are taught meats, and milk/dairy are so essential for children to grow, yet the hormones in the milk effect the hormones in our children, and milk contains pus. > Breastfeeding mamas will understand this...Cows get udder infections (think about when your milk came in and your "girls" got engorged, the pain-the redness- the tight lump from a milk duct that was clogged. Although I wasn't to upset with the temporary porn star boobies, the pain was not fun! I swear, my right tit just had a flashback. OUCH!) Udder infection is basically like a clogged milk duct, aka mastitis. This infection causes pus to be in the milk. All cows milk has some of this pus in it. A liter of milk can have up to 4000,000,000 somatic cells ( PUS cells) before its considered unfit for human consumption!! So they tell us now give whole cows milk but only up until the child turns a year then switch to 1% milk ( dafqk?!? It still has hormones and pus), and if you tell a doctor ( like I did with my youngest lil goddess) you are choosing soy milk for your child they tell you all the things not beneficial to soy milk. Soy has this thing called phytoestrogen, which resembles estrogen but does the opposite and blocks our bodies estrogen receptors. So really we are just consuming the plants nutrients not estrogen! The concern about estrogen is bc it increases risk of blood clots, and may increase chance of certain Cancers, especially breast cancer.

Where do I fall in the lines of healthy eating, honestly idk! I grew up on bologna, and salami, cold cut grinders. I loved hot dogs, and pepperoni, oh! and olive loaf!!!!!! I LOVEEEEEEED olive loaf. However these foods according to the World Health Organization say that these are all group 1 carcinogen. What the fuck is carcinogen...well the definition is a substance capable of causing cancer in living tissue! The same group as Asbestos, nickel, radon, and plutonium! But plz enjoy that pepperoni pizza ( I swear its like the more I learn the less I can actually eat. LOL) Another great documentary is What the Health. That is where I got the information about the lunch meat etc. being in the same group of cancer causing substances. The fucked up thing about all of this that I took away was how these foods are marketed to entice us to buy to promote well balanced diets. When in reality the "well balanced diet" is not actually well for us!

I guess all we can really do is research, and make your own judgement. I am going to try plant-based diet tho'. I am optimistic that with that kind of diet, and Dr Sebi's cell foods, meditation, yoga, and staying active with cardio my body can repaire any ailments that come with aging. Idk but will find out, Wish me Luck!

Logically Sending love vibes,

xoxo Leah
